Emily and Vale Park Holiday Do the Double

The Northern Ireland Working Hunter Association held their Spring Championship Show for ponies on Saturday 24^th April at Knockagh View Equestrian Centre, Greenisland.  A large number of competitors ensured that competition continued well into the evening.  In the working hunter ring, competitors were tested over a demanding and decorative course and the judges were impressed with the overall standard of competition.  In the first big championship of the day Emily McGowan and Vale Park Holiday took the supreme open working hunter honours after clinching the open starter stakes and open 133cms classes earlier in the day.  Georgia Kelly and the section A Highland Ladys Man took the Open M&M working hunter championship en-route to the reserve supreme open working hunter title. 

Whilst in the ridden ring, competitors were out in force to challenge for the sought after p(uk) Summer Championship qualifying slots.  The main championship in this ring saw Hannah Dumigan and her superb section B Sianwood Goldfinch being called forward to take the Supreme Ridden pony tricolour, whilst 7 year old Eva McClurg and the Show Hunter Pony reserve champion Little Miss Foxy Loxy stood reserve Supreme.

In the overall supreme pony of the show championship, the judges were unanimous in calling forward the Supreme Open Working Hunter Pony of the year winners Emily McGowan and Vale Park Holiday, with the supreme ridden champions Hannah Dumigan and Sianwood Goldfinch in reserve and Mini Working Hunter Champions Jodie Creighton and her new ride Sparkie 2 filling 1^st reserve supreme spot.
